Become a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and help support Maine adults with intellectual disabilities.
DSP’s help people perform activities of daily living, remember their medication and have quality lives. DSP’s may work in homes
or in the community.
SKILLS provides extensive
paid training to prepare employees
for this rewarding work and many members of our leadership team began as DSPs!
New staff attend a
45-hour course to earn Direct Support Professional and Residential Medication Aide Certifications.
Employees are also
certified in CPR/First Aid
and the MANDT System.
All training is hands on.
SKILLS employees receive 100% employer-paid health insurance, vacation, sick time, holiday pay, and employer paid life insurance.
